We just returned from a ski vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. From the airplane’s initial descent, we could see that it was a gorgeous spot. A large valley, where the town of Jackson is located, is surrounded by the incredible Teton mountains. The snow covered ground with the deep blue skies and snow capped mountains, was truly a sight to see. These shots were taken with my iPhone from the ski slopes, where the views were amazing!!
This morning I headed to the beach to visit my favorite place that is now covered in snow. The sky and light were beautiful. The walking was a little challenging, but worth it! It is still my favorite place to go!

The flowers on a Cyclamen are some of my favorite photographic subjects! Their beautiful petals create appealing curved lines and their almost upside down blossoms make for interesting images. What do you think?
The fall is a popular time for kids and family portraits! Take a look at one of my favorite subjects…. I just love taking her picture. Here she wasn’t exactly cooperating but the light from the window makes a gorgeous shot and sometimes looking away from the camera makes a portrait interesting.
Last weekend, after many visits to see our sons in New Orleans, we finally took one of the swamp tours that are so popular down there. I thought it was wonderful, mostly for the scenery and landscape, which is completely different from New England, but also for the alligators and other animals we saw. We went down a river and then into a bayou, all of which were beautiful. Everyone enjoyed watching the gators jump out of the water to grab food from the tour guide, they are powerful, scary animals!
Venice is one of the most incredible places we have ever visited! Everything from the amazing architecture and history to way the locals navigate the waters in their gondolas and motor boats is fascinating. We loved our trip there this past summer and would love to go back again. It is just stunning!
A few more shots from yesterday’s rainy morning that I thought would look good processed in black and white. I just love the way the water drops stand up on the edges of the petals. If you look closely it’s amazing what you can see.
Have you ever lost your motivation? I haven’t been posting or really taking many pictures lately, but today I decided to get out and shoot some images. It’s a rainy morning, but I decided to venture out and look around for something to catch my eye. Rain drops can be so interesting and pretty, especially when they reflect something. I was happy looking around for small droplets on my plants to focus on. Below are some fall-blooming daisies covered in rain drops. These are exactly as I found them in my garden. I hope you enjoy them!
We just loved our recent trip to Italy, which included a tour of the beautiful city of Florence. Our hotel overlooked the Arno river, which was just a feast for the eyes. Florence is an easy city to get around and it has so many interesting and unique places to tour, including ancient Roman baths, the cathedral, which is so huge that it’s hard to capture, and the famous statues. However, even with so much to see and learn, favorites were delicious gelato, the pasta and the shopping!
