Snowy Scenes
A couple more photographs of the snowy beaches around town. Pretty I guess for the winter, but I really love summer! Brrr.

The fall is a popular time for kids and family portraits! Take a look at one of my favorite subjects…. I just love taking her picture. Here she wasn’t exactly cooperating but the light from the window makes a gorgeous shot and sometimes looking away from the camera makes a portrait interesting.
Venice is one of the most incredible places we have ever visited! Everything from the amazing architecture and history to way the locals navigate the waters in their gondolas and motor boats is fascinating. We loved our trip there this past summer and would love to go back again. It is just stunning!
I received some beautiful peach-colored roses last week as a thank-you for volunteering. Their gorgeous curved edges inspired me to take some up-close shots of them. Aren’t they so pretty?
What an adorable baby boy I got to photograph last week. He was so handsome and incredibly precious, especially because he is the new grandson of our dear friends. I just loved photographing him and his mom. He must have missed the memo where he was supposed to be sleeping during the shoot, though!! Welcome to the world sweet boy!
It was a thrill to be able to visit Monet’s home at Giverny and view the amazing gardens there. As expected, the gardens are lush and beautiful with flowers blooming everywhere. There are two sections of the property, the area near his home and another area across the road, with the pond and the famous water lilies. Here are some shots of the gorgeous gardens in front of the house. I could have stayed there shooting for days!
It’s hard to capture a place like St Paul de Vence, but what struck me as interesting in this beautiful village were the doors to the homes of the people who live there. Everything, including the areas around their doors, is so meticulously maintained, with flower gardens and pots all over. And their tiny mail boxes are so cute. It’s hard to imagine actually living in a place like this. We walked past a woman sitting in her open doorway in the sun reading a book. It was classic relaxation, enjoying a beautiful spot on a gorgeous day. (Perhaps I should have asked to take her picture, but I didn’t want to disturb her peaceful moment. Oh and I don’t speak French!)
An interesting tree all alone on a local beach.
I recently had the opportunity to photograph my friend’s daughter and husband, who are expecting their first baby next month. It was fun photographing her all around the city of Boston and photographing them both on a beach just north of Boston. The morning on the beach didn’t have the sunrise we had hoped for, but the gray skies lent themselves well to black and white images. I think she looks gorgeous, actually they both do, but I love that big belly!
For the first time I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, which I loved doing! The walkway goes across the center of the bridge and the views are amazing, from the river to the skyscrapers to the other bridges nearby. Not to mention the famously beautiful architecture of the bridge, which lends itself to a million different types of images!
