What an adorable baby boy I got to photograph last week. He was so handsome and incredibly precious, especially because he is the new grandson of our dear friends. I just loved photographing him and his mom. He must have missed the memo where he was supposed to be sleeping during the shoot, though!! Welcome to the world sweet boy!
On Saturday, we attended the baptism of of our dear friends’ new baby grandson. It was a perfect, beautiful day to drive to Boston and celebrate with our friends. The ceremony was lovely and of course the baby is absolutely adorable and incredibly precious. Events like these always make me so thankful for wonderful friends and family. Here are some shots from the ceremony. We wish little Alfred Anthony a long, healthy, wonderful life.
And happy birthday to his namesake, Anthony Ryan, who was so special to each of our family members. We will have you in our hearts forever.
What fun to spend a gorgeous day having fun in the pool! We did just this yesterday, the first time we have been in our pool this season. What made it even more special was that it was my great niece’s first time in a pool. She was more than adorable in her hat and long-sleeved sun-protection swimsuit. Everyone was having fun playing with her and watching her splash, which she loved. These are a few shots of her, most in the water. For some reason, the light in the black and white images appealed to me more than in the color images. She has a lot of hair for a 7 month old baby. I think she’s just gorgeous! 🙂
Wow, I just think my new niece is totally amazing!!! Ok, she’s my great niece (my sister’s granddaughter), but saying that makes me feel old! It is amazing, though to see my niece, who to me was always a young girl playing with my children, being a mom. She and her husband clearly adore their baby; it is so sweet to watch them with her. Our family is so lucky  to have four generations that can be together.
My niece came over the other day so that I could take photos of her baby. What a joy it is to photograph a beautiful, happy baby. I was so excited for the whole thing, and while mostly it was fun, parts were definitely challenging. I really wanted more poses where she was sleeping, but that didn’t work out. However, she was happy and smiling while she was awake, so that was wonderful! I guess the only possible down side for me is that I didn’t get to hold her that much because I was busy shooting the pictures. Ok, next time I’ll hog her all to myself! 🙂
