Last night we went to our town’s fireworks display on the beach and it was a wonderful night, as always! Every year we love spending a beautiful evening on the beach with our friends, and then watching the gorgeous fireworks shot from a barge and exploding over the sound. Here are some shots of the display. Happy 4th of July everyone!
We just returned from a ski vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. From the airplane’s initial descent, we could see that it was a gorgeous spot. A large valley, where the town of Jackson is located, is surrounded by the incredible Teton mountains. The snow covered ground with the deep blue skies and snow capped mountains, was truly a sight to see. These shots were taken with my iPhone from the ski slopes, where the views were amazing!!
These shots of Bighorn Sheep are from our recent trip to Wyoming. We loved seeing these beautiful animals up close and watching them interact. These two individuals walked up to each other, stared each other down, then locked horns. After which they stood next to each other licking the dirt. So cool!!
A couple more photographs of the snowy beaches around town. Pretty I guess for the winter, but I really love summer! Brrr.
This morning I headed to the beach to visit my favorite place that is now covered in snow. The sky and light were beautiful. The walking was a little challenging, but worth it! It is still my favorite place to go!
I love playing around with macro images of flowers. And I think Cyclamen blossoms lend themselves to this, with their curved lines and interesting shapes. What do you think???
Below are a a few shots of the gorgeous sunset from Aruba, where we were a few days ago. Nothing like the current state in the northeast! A few of these are ‘regular’ sots and a few are with camera movement. There’s nothing like being on a beach and shooting a sunrise or sunset for me! Perhaps I’ll venture out in the snowstorm and take a peek at the beach later today… we’ll see!!
Happy New Year! I took some slow shutter speed shots of the ocean from my recent trip to Florida. I was excited to use my new camera, so I thought I would break it in on location, toes in the sand, photographing the Atlantic Ocean… my favorite place! The first 3 are using a slow shutter speed with my new camera, and the last 2 are using the show shutter app on my iphone. I like the painterly effect it provides! What do you think?
