My name is April Book and I’m a lifestyle portrait photographer in Fairfield County, CT, focusing on children, families and sports. My style is upbeat and natural and my images reflect that in the emotional interactions they portray.
Influenced by my own grandmother’s painting and photography, I have always loved beautiful art, both classic and modern. I have spent the last several years studying photography through many workshops and classes, and have enjoyed working with many families and children. I have three teenage children of my own, who, as they grow, have inspired me to capture moments in time and create memorable images.
My goal is to capture who you are through portraits that reflect the singularity and beauty of your relationships. To create images that will tell “your story,” represent a glimpse of your life, a moment in time, and will be something you will always treasure. We will discuss your vision and ideas before the session to create an approach that fits your family. Whether we shoot at your home, a nearby park or beach, you will have images you will love and treasure.
