My mother grew up on a dairy farm that her brother has been running for as long as I can remember. (Actually, I do remember when my grandfather retired!) The farm is one of my very favorite places to visit, and one of my favorite places to photograph. It is just beautiful during all seasons of the year. We went to the farm a few weeks ago for a family reunion and my uncle was out bailing hay. The sun was shining, so, you know, they had to get out and make hay! That’s the thing about farming, no matter what else is going on, the work has to be done. You may be entertaining a huge crowd but the animals have to be fed, the fields tended, work done no matter what!
